Best Practices
Best Practices
Whether you are a creator optimizing your own content or a clipper managing multiple clients, following these guidelines ensures the best AI results.
🎥 For Creators
Make your long-form content AI-ready from the start.
Source Quality Matters
- Audio is King: Our AI relies on transcriptions to find viral moments. Clear audio = better clip selection. Avoid heavy background music over speech.
- Resolution: Upload at least 1080p. Since we crop vertically (9:16), higher source resolution preserves sharpness in the zoom.
- Framing: While our AI tracks faces, try not to sit at the extreme edges of the frame. Standard centered or rule-of-thirds framing works best.
Speak in "Clips"
The AI looks for standalone stories.
- Hooks: Start new topics with strong statements or questions ("The biggest mistake I made was...").
- Pacing: Leave tiny pauses between topics. This helps the AI understand where one thought ends and another begins.
✂️ For Clippers & Agencies
Scale your production and maintain brand consistency.
Workflow Optimization
- Bulk Archives: Use the Desktop App to process terabytes of client archives. It utilizes local hardware, saving you significantly on cloud processing costs (1x token rate vs 3x).
- Client Presets: Don't manually configure every video. Create a Style Config for each client saving their:
- Specific Font & Colors
- Logo/Watermark (with Chroma Key transparency)
- Preferred Animation Style
- Chroma Key Logos: If your client has a video intro or animated logo on a green screen, use the Remove Background feature in Configs.
Strategic Selection
- Video Types: Always select the direct Video Type (e.g., Conversation vs. Vlog). This changes the backend tracking logic entirely and prevents "shaky" camera moves on static podcast shots.
📱 Platform Specifics
| Platform | Recommended Length | Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok | 15 - 45s | Fast pacing, heavy subtitles, strong visual hook |
| Shorts | 30 - 60s | Slightly longer storytelling, loopable endings |
| Reels | 15 - 30s | Trending audio focus, aesthetic visuals |
Boosta defaults to finding the "sweet spot" (15-60s) for all platforms.
